Old Mother Hubbard goes to the cupboard to get her poor hungry dog a bone, but there isn't a crumb in the kitchen! Rushing back and forth to town, she brings the dog gifts but none are edible. While she's away, the dog is having a ball in the house: riding a goat, washing the cat, dancing a jig. What can all this nonsense be leading up to?
